Biography

As the Librarian for Special Collections in the Conservatory Library, I enjoy bringing scholars, performers, students, critics, and community members together with music materials for research, teaching, learning, and playing. I am trained both as an archivist and as a historical musicologist, with special experience in music source studies.

College and Conservatory students are especially welcome to consider using special collections for Winter Term projects, paper topics, recital repertory, and library exhibits. Please contact me to set up an appointment.

At Oberlin, I am active on the Cultural Property Committee and the Distinctive Collections Working Group and the Digital Policy Workgroup of the Libraries. I also serve on the advisory council of the Riemenschneider Bach Institute at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music and as the organizational liaison between the Music Library Association and the American Musicological Society.
